GHK Architects have undertaken a variety of works at Hampton Court Palace under their term commission with Historic Royal Palaces (HRP).

GHK specified and oversaw conservation works in the Chapel Court within Hampton Court Palace.

Executed schemes include repair and renewal of leadwork to roofs to extend their lifespan. The objective was to achieve current good practice with minimal intervention to historic fabric.

In Chapel Court we specified and oversaw masonry repair and conservation including trials of alternative cleaning methods, mortar analysis and approval of samples.

Other completed work includes the conservation and repair of the Lion Gate piers at the entrance to the Palace which included investigation and analysis of a number of options ranging from complete rebuild to cathodic protection.

More recently, we have just finished re-roofing and masonry repairs to The Georgian House. We are currently investigating and scheduling repairs to deal with the separation of the outer brick facing to the Barrack Block.
